Definitely turning my Atlantique Ascoli dress into a top after seeing this amazing editorial on The Line. Maybe getting another color — denim or aubergine?

Hospital smock or Dress?
When you wear a ruffled yet oversized Atlantique Ascoli dress that is so shapeless and plain that it looks kind of like a hospital smock, you kind of have to continue with the crazy theme by wearing shoes outside that seem to be made for the indoors only.
I just got back from Houston, the land of Beyoncé, shooting some stuff for HP. It was a pretty grueling shoot schedule, hence the radio silence here. But then at the airport on the way back to San Francisco I got a phone call that changed stuff up in my life — it's a pretty exciting development!
I'll be off celebrating this development, but in the meantime enjoy these photos I managed to edit while my mom was on the phone with my blabbermouth brother (sorry twin, you talk to much! jk I love you!).

Atlantique Ascoli dress (purchased on sale years ago, thinking of making it a top)
Gucci Princetown loafers (yes, I know, I'm a stupid idiot who fell prey to Pinterest round ups oft his style, the sky is blue, etc, more on this later)
Bliss & Mischief
Meet Bliss & Mischief — an exciting LA brand that focuses on customizing vintage pieces with amazing embroidery. The overall effect is so insanely good, I don't even know if I have the appropriate words right now to encapsulate how excited I feel to have found them. Bliss & Mischief is like the combination of badass Erin Wasson's personal style, a tomboy, French nnonchalant, and cowboy Americana all wrapped into one and the overall effect is rad. Looking through BAM's pieces has reinvigorated my own personal sartorial outlook — it's that brilliant.
Barneys recently did a short run collaboration with Bliss & Mischief and NSF, and while most of the pieces are long gone, some of them (like the pants above!) are still available for an amazing sale price. Snatch them up! Do it now!
I plan on getting a couple more BAM pieces after experiencing the quality and coolness of the two pants I now own. I love the idea of mixing these masculine proportions with overtly feminine details. It's the balance of tomboy and girl that I love and I'm just so freakin' excited.

Atlantique Ascoli Baby Doll
Oh, you know. Just waltzing around in my precious little baby doll Atlantique Ascoli dress. It's absolutely precious on a human body, but let me tell you, looks questionable on a hanger. So if you find yourself at Barneys any time this week, they are in the process reducing the price on lots of designer goodies like this one from Atlantique Ascoli. It's like 75%, what are you even waiting for.
FYI , this is a black and white edit, there are color photos to come. Why? Because finding time to take photos of me wearing this dress was difficult this weekend and I love them, and this is my blog, and I reserve the right to post things I love.
