I’m spending the week off visiting with family and working on home projects with Nicholas, and also taking some photos with this amazing daisy field that popped up in our back yard. My project today will be finishing planting some of the asparagus ferns (or are they foxtails?) near the redwood trees since it’s likely they’ll be okay with the acidity of the soil — which has been a boon for the citrus trees all around that side of the yard. Here I am with a pickaxe again after using it for almost a year straight trying to fix up and sell my first home at El Cerrito. I’m quite good at hitting my mark over and over and over again. That’s what I’m proud of these days that I’m not chasing the social media around all day; my semi-green thumb, these daisies that came up out of nowhere, and my precision with shovels and axes.
