Well here we are, Thanksgiving day 2020. Im grateful we have a new home and we both have jobs to help pay for us to fix it up before we move in. I’m grateful for the socially distanced help from family on very tricky things like gas lines, electrical loads, and city codes — thank you, thank you, thank you, I love you.
I am grateful my mom and brothers are doing well, and after an exposure incident, despite them being so very careful for 8-months and someone being fucking selfish, mask-less, and reckless for 5 minutes they have tested negative for COVID-19 — I love you more than you can imagine and I cannot wait to ugly cry while I hug you in person soon, one day.
I am grateful for my friends that I get to speak to directly and not through social media anymore, and for them remembering me and thinking of me every now and then — I love you, you are a rare few I can count on my one hand!
And I’m grateful for my family, my Nick and my Suitcase. I am a little sad we’re not able to be with extended family this year, but I am also excited to know that this is our first Thanksgiving at home together, doing things our way.
Happy Thanksgiving, everyone.
Stay safe — hang in there, we got this!
