There's a lot of old in this outfit, things I've worn many times before, but there's also a few key new things that make the entire ensemble feel new. Take the J Brand leather leggings, for example, found online in a blogger's resale shop for dirt cheap, or the Cos blazer and white top which were from over six months ago now. Or even take the Mansur Gavriel mini bucket bag, which is now worn to death in the corners and has a patina of mostly scratches, and is about a year old now. These are all things I've loved and worn dozens of times, getting full enjoyment out of each of them to the point where I was almost bored with them. Enter a few new things — like the Aquazzura Christy flats (a splurge, I know), the Pomwum bag charms, and the quirky checkered Anthropologie top. Even if the additional new items didn't include extravagant things like the Aquazzura flats, the addition of new textures and even colors makes me feel like I'm wearing a head-to-toe new outfit. Groundbreaking stuff, I know. But people, it's the little things that make me excited these days. While this revelation may be a no brainer to some people, for me, shopping my closet and upgrading it with a few things at a time is a remarkable challenge some days where all I want to do is clean slate and start over.
