Aka, Haute couture with an extreme creative, happy hands at home, bent.
I’m endlessly inspired and in awe of Fairfield porter.
Heading into the weekend, I’m hoping to paint more neighborhood scenes with an ounce of hope to make them as dreamy as effortless-looking as Fairfield Porter’s.
This makeup look looks a hell of a lot more appealing than most makeup tutorials anywhere right now.
Wouldn’t it be nice.
Acne Studios introduced the medium Musubi and renamed all the previous iterations of it and I think they must have been listening when I said, “the mini is too small, the regular is too tiny, and the maxi is just so huge.” I’m going to check this out at the store to see if fits my laptop, because if it does then we are in business people. This could be a nice work bag that doesn’t have to look like such a lame work bag.
What a month. Work has been ramping up and I have been doing my best to keep up! In the meantime, I’ve been curating this month’s playlist on the bus ride from Sunnyvale back to the east bay. It' starts out slow, which I like because it helps me focus and relax, then it builds up to a little bit of a synth vibe. After the upbeat funky songs you get into a little strangeness, which taps you right into a some rock. I’ve waited a long time to find the right mood and playlist to fit Muse and NIN in one playlist, and I’m super thrilled it’s the same playlist that the one Taylor Swift song I really enjoy (“Delicate”) lives on.
Enjoy it. It’s 59 minutes on the dot.

I want to try this for New Years at the party* I always go to.
*going to a 6pm dinner, then coming home and me, my cat, and husband fighting to stay awake long enough to toast at midnight.
I love this. It’s completely bizarre and impractical but it’s cheeky and fun in a world where couture shows take themselves way too seriously.
